CHARLIER CEDRIC
Cédric Charlier, this Belgian designer who graduated from the School of Visual Arts in Brussels, is now distinguished by simple yet sophisticated creations, punctuating the catwalks with a singular style, sleek and stylish urban clothes.
After going through Celine, Michael Kors or Lanvin, he launched his brand and his first collection in February 2012.
A glance at his Pre Fall 2015 collection unveils finest materials, raw cut fringes, woven stripes. Pajama for the day, fluidity, fluid dresses, all these elements let us dive into a false nonchalant mood and controlled style.

NEW COMERS: ETIENNE DEROEUX
Fresh out of school, Etienne gets an internship
at a big fashion house to test the industry waters, then goes off to Australia
to work and save up enough money to pay for a good school, tries and manages to
get in to the Antwerp school, and dives in head first.
Then, he’s spent two years
at La Cambre before creating his eponymous brand in 2011. Following his taste
for American-style modernism, he designs practical clothes and sportswear
transposed into the universe of French know-how with great attention to detail.
The perfect pocket in the perfect spot instead of decadent volumes or ephemeral
eccentricity, lots of ideas in mind and passion in the guts.

NEW COMERS: SUPER PIECEOFCHIC
Founded in 2010 by
Barbara and Sébastien, PIECEOFCHIC was a Belgian studio specialised in crazy
prints. At first they worked with different brands and in 2011 they launched
thei own collection of limited edition dresses. Their reputation grew, and in
2013 they created SUPER PIECEOFCHIC, a fun and luxury label.
Amongst their
inspirations are comics, travelling, humour and Belgian fries. These elements
are at the heart of their bold and humorous collections, featuring ultra
creative prints and some crazy pieces like the "fries bag" or the
"hot-dog bag". The title of their SS15 collection "SUCK MY
CREAM" spells it out: here is a brand that does not follow fashion diktats
and could not care less about convention.

NEW COMERS: FILLES À PAPA
There are brands that make us daydream of thousands of colours and delirious excess. Filles à Papa, hailing from Belgium with decadent inspirations, is most certainly one of them.
Created by Sarah and Carol in 2009, the brand brings cultural clash to the fore, creating an unexpected concoction of sportswear, grunge, androginy and glamour. If the mix might seem atypical and slightly off the wall, rest assured: the visual result of is all but deceiving. Fluorescent polka dots, American style racing cars, flames, leather mixed with cork are a feast for the eyes. Summer 2015 is set to be funky-grungy-crazy. Expect no less.

NEW COMERS / LAZY OAF
Oh London, you audacious, eccentric thing,
could we ever get bored of you? London-based brand Lazy Oaf alone holds the
answer to this question: a big "no", painted in bright pink chalk on
a faded brick wall.
In 2001, Gemma Shiel started to create t-shirts and sell
them in Spitalfields market. 11 years later, her designs were being sold
in over 250 shops across the world. Today, Lazy Oaf collections are
complete and vary from knitwear to shoes via swimming costumes and accessories.
Colour is Gemma's obsession: her rainbow-painted touch creates humorous,
cartoon-like graphics, for a trademark original and juvenile style.

PATISSERIE / SHOES AND WHO'S NEXT
As I'm leaving my neighbourhood in a few days, it was the last time I could go to this wonderful bakery just next door. I bought this marvellous mille-feuilles to indulge in. Was so good. Oh my.
