On monday evening, I've been invited to Watch a special documentary, in favour of the protection of our seas and oceans.
Kenzo has joined forced with the Blue Marine Foundation, teaming up to spread the word about the destruction being done to the deep seas. If the the vision of a coral reef, with brightly coloured fish ducking in and out of its fissures, holds the same feeling of wonder for you as it does for us, know that now is the time for action.
Here are a few pictures and my article about this event on WAD.

THE BLUE MARINE FOUNDATION
The name says it all—this is a foundation dedicated to fighting against overfishing and the destruction of the deep seas. As it stands, the protection of marine life is indispensable for the development of all life on the planet, and the sea plays a major part in the well-being of our environment.
Not wanting to sound preachy or give directives, it's important to know that many sea creatures are now endangered due to overfishing. If it continues at this pace, by 2014 ocean reserves will be entirely depleted, taking with them the bluefin tuna, Atlantic halibut, rainbow trout, Bala shark, wild carp, cod... and many more.
To put it differently, say goodbye to tuna sandwiches and sushi—which is more than enough of a reason to take action!
The foundation's video goes into depth explaining the upcoming dangers and explaining Blue Marine's take on the phenomenon.

KENZO GETS INVOLVED
Kenzo wanted to do more than just make a donation, joining forces with the foundation to spread the word to its customers and more. The label's designers created a line of sweatshirts and t-shirts with wave-like and fish motifs, branded with the slogan “No fish, No nothing”. The prints are light and sublime, reflecting Kenzo's creativity.
On January 13, the label screened the film “The End of the Line”, a documentary directed by Rupert Murray and based on the book by Charles. The documentary is full of information, pushing for its audience to take notice and work towards drastic actions to reverse the trends.
The collection will be available from the end of January 2014 in Kenzo boutiques and at www.kenzo.com.
